I recently got to participate in an Internal Pearson Learning Services Technology wide hackathon. This is an opportunity for designers, developers, and other professionals to work together to create and ideate upon a concept that they have chosen that could help to benefit the larger Pearson company as a whole. We happened to win the 2016 Pearson Learning Services hackathon winner for most learner-centric idea. I started by creating a parent portal application that would accompany one of our main learning management ecosystems. I followed a simple setup and process that started with:

1. An ideation session after framing the design problem at hand.

2. Then moved to sketching

3.Then moved to wire-framing and functionality

4. Then finally moved to final high-fidelity mockups with a functioning prototype.
